WWE is gearing up for its 38th annual Survivor Series premium live event, which is set to take place in less than a week. The event marks the third consecutive year that the main roster will host WarGames matches for both the men’s and women’s divisions. According to recent reports, WWE has made some significant changes to its plans, including the elimination of NXT’s involvement in the event.
The main event is scheduled to take place at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, on Sunday. For the first time this year, there will be no NXT presence at Survivor Series, which is a departure from previous years. In addition, the newly announced start time for the main card has been changed from 5:30 PM ET to 6:00 PM ET, making it an earlier start than usual.
WWE typically begins their premium live events with a Kickoff preview event on the Friday preceding the event. However, in this case, there will be no Kickoff event scheduled for Vancouver on Friday. Instead, fans can look forward to the Countdown to Survivor Series pre-show on Saturday, which is scheduled to air at 4:00 PM ET on Peacock and all social channels.
The main Survivor Series card is set to begin at 6:00 PM ET, with the Women’s WarGames match likely to open the event. The Men’s WarGames match is rumored to be the main event. The show will be followed by a post-event setting, featuring a panel and press conference discussion, which will begin on all channels once the event has concluded.
The updated lineup for Survivor Series includes several singles title matches, as well as the highly anticipated WarGames events. The lineups for these matches will be finalized once Bayley confirms her participation, replacing the injured Jade Cargill. The updated lineup includes two new singles title matches, as well as the previously announced WarGames bouts.
The Intercontinental Championship Triple Threat match will feature Bron Breakker defending his title against Sheamus and Ludwig Kaiser. The United States Championship match will see LA Knight put his title on the line against Shinsuke Nakamura. Meanwhile, Gunther will be defending his World Heavyweight Championship against Damian Priest.
In the women’s division, the WarGames match will feature a team led by Liv Morgan, including Raquel Rodriguez, Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton, Candice LeRae, and Bayley (should Bayley confirm her participation). They will be facing off against a team led by Rhea Ripley, featuring IYO SKY, Naomi, Bianca Belair, and Bayley (should Bayley confirm her participation).
In the men’s division, The OG Bloodline, led by Roman Reigns, will be facing off against The New Bloodline, led by Solo Sikoa. The team consists of Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn, CM Punk, and also includes Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Bronson Reed.
In the lead-up to Survivor Series, Bianca Belair has already earned the WarGames Advantage for her team, following her win over Nia Jax on tonight’s RAW. On Friday’s go-home SmackDown, fans can expect to see Jey Uso take on Jacob Fatu to determine the Men’s WarGames Advantage.
As the event approaches, WWE fans remain enthusiastic about the prospect of witnessing the highly anticipated WarGames matches. With its unique format and unpredictable nature, WarGames is sure to bring excitement and drama to the Survivor Series event.
