The recent decision by WWE to write off Jade Cargill from television has left fans and industry insiders alike scratching their heads. According to veteran wrestling writer Vince Russo, the situation could be more complicated than initially meets the eye, with rumors of a rift between Cargill and other WWE superstars, specifically ex-WWE women’s champion Bianca Belair.
Russo, who has extensive experience in professional wrestling, recently appeared on Sportskeeda’s Writing with Russo, where he shared his insider knowledge regarding the situation. According to Russo, the similarities between Cargill and Belair – both being African American, physically gifted, and boasting strong personalities and characters – could be a major factor in their alleged feud.
“I have heard a lot of rumblings about her and Bianca Belair, which makes a lot of sense,” Russo explained. “Because you look at the two of these two, and you could see them competing for the same spot. Bro, they are both African American. They are both physical freaks, they are both strong as hell, they have both got flair, they have both got personality. They have both got character, so you have these two talents that are gonna be very competitive with each other and what do you do? You put them together.”
Russo’s comments suggest that the tension between Cargill and Belair might extend beyond simple rivalry and competitive nature, potentially indicating a deeper issue between the two women. The fact that Cargill was recently written off TV, courtesy of a backstage attack, has further fueled speculation about the state of their relationship.
In addition to the Cargill-Belair situation, Russo also expressed disappointment with WWE’s handling of the situation, arguing that Cargill could have easily
been protected during the Survivor Series match that was disrupted by her supposed attack. According to Russo, Cargill could have simply gotten the hot tag, entered the ring, and performed a few moves without taking any significant bumps.
“I am not buying that for a second, and I’ll tell you why. This is a Survivor Series match. She can 1000% be protected. All she has to do is get the hot tag, get in the ring, and shine. She doesn’t have to take one single bump. If this was an individual match, different story,” he said.
While Russo’s plan might not have been feasible due to the WarGames match structure, his points highlight the potential misstep on WWE’s part, particularly given the popularity and potential of Cargill as a performer.
As the situation continues to unfold, fans are left wondering what the future holds for Jade Cargill in WWE. Will she be able to overcome the rumors and allegations, or will this incident mark a turning point in her career? Only time will tell, but one thing is certain – the world of professional wrestling is always full of drama and intrigue, and the Cargill-Belair situation is just the latest chapter in an ongoing saga.
