The latest episode of WWE RAW was a dramatic and emotionally charged show, packed with tension and heartbreak. The emotional highlight of the night was the tearful farewell to Big E, as he was kicked out of The New Day, a group he had been a part of for over two years. The segment was expertly executed, with Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston initially seeming to part ways amicably, only to turn heel on Big E and make it painfully clear that his departure was not amicable. Fans were left feeling emotionally drained as the segment brought up Big E’s projects, desk job, and even his girlfriend, leaving no stone unturned in a bid to make the blow feel as heavy as possible.

However, it wasn’t just the emotional weightlifting from the Big E segment that made this episode of RAW stand out. Drew McIntyre made his return to the show, and his presence was sorely missed. His in-ring and character work have always been some of the best in the business, and it’s clear that his return will have a significant impact on the show. McIntyre’s Claymore on Sami Zayn after Zayn seemingly attacked Jey Uso backstage was a great way to restart his feud with Zayn, and fans are eagerly anticipating what’s to come.

The night also saw Seth Rollins tease a potential heel turn, which could have significant implications for his character. Rollins and CM Punk have a history of delivering great promos, and this segment was no exception. The promo between Rollins, Punk, and Jey Uso was filled with tension and angst, as Rollins criticized Uso for teaming with Roman Reigns in WarGames, and it felt like a slow-burning heel turn was just around the corner.

But amidst all the drama and tension, it was hard not to feel a sense of disappointment when R-Truth and Pete Dunne took to the ring. Despite being called Butch by Truth, fans would have expected Dunne to finally get some revenge after his recent feud with Sheamus. Instead, he lost via roll-up, which was an unfortunate turn of events. It’s clear that Dunne has fallen far from his career-changing feud, and it’s a shame to see him struggling.

Despite the sadness and anger that permeated much of the show, there were some silver linings. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, the remaining members of The New Day, are more bonded than ever, and they will undoubtedly continue to work together. At least the active members of the group are still together, and fans will always have their great memories of the group.
