Imagine walking into a room filled with rugged wrestlers, each with their own unique style and intense training regimen. Now, picture a world-renowned musician, surrounded by giants, donning a singlet and putting his skills to the test. This is the reality faced by Bad Bunny, the Puerto Rican rapper and singer who has left his mark on the world of professional wrestling.
Triple H, the WWE’s Chief Content Officer, shared his take on Bad Bunny’s trajectory within the company, revealing the initial reaction of the musician when approached with the idea of joining WWE. According to Triple H, Bad Bunny was more than excited to be a part of the wrestling world, even going to the extent of renting a house in Orlando to immerse himself in the training process.
“He wanted to do it, and he went and rented a house in Orlando,” Triple H revealed on an episode of The Roommates Show. “Every day I’d walk in there, he’d be there. He’d be all beat up, and he’d wear pads all over him ’cause he was killing himself. But he’d be in there every day ’cause he wanted it to be good.”
Bad Bunny’s dedication and passion for wrestling are undeniable, and his performances have exceeded expectations. Despite being a musician, he has adapted remarkable well to the demands of in-ring action. Triple H praised his efforts, stating that “it’s not easy to do” and that “it takes a lot of work.”
Bad Bunny made his WWE debut during the 2021 Royal Rumble event, performing a rendition of “Booker T.” He then made his in-ring debut at WrestleMania 37 and even competed in a singles match against Damian Priest at Backlash in Puerto Rico.
Yet, despite his impressive start, Bad Bunny has not wrestled a single match this year. It remains to be seen whether he will return to the ring in 2025. One thing is certain, though – his appearance in professional wrestling has been nothing short of electrifying.
As a fan, it’s exciting to think about what the future holds for Bad Bunny in WWE. Will he continue to push himself and adapt to the ever-changing terrain of professional wrestling? Can he continue to inspire others with his dedication and passion? Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure – Bad Bunny has left an indelible mark on the world of sports entertainment.
