2K Games has been a stalwart partner of WWE for over 12 years, producing top-notch video games for the Stamford-based promotion. The company has come a long way since its first game, WWE 2K14, and has bounced back from a disappointing 2020 release with 2K22, which received widespread acclaim. The latest edition, 2K24, was released earlier this year and has been well-received by fans and critics alike. While no release date has been confirmed for the next iteration, 2K25 is reportedly under development, and fans can expect the marketing campaign to kick off during the Royal Rumble season.

One of the most anticipated aspects of the sports games is the cover stars, which have featured a diverse range of superstars over the years. Cody Rhodes, Rhea Ripley, Bray Wyatt, and Bianca Belair were some of the notable cover stars for 2K24. In this article, we’ll take a closer look at the top three superstars who could be featured on the cover of WWE 2K25.

At number three is Roman Reigns, who has been a dominant force in professional wrestling for over a decade. The OTC holds the record for being the longest-reigning WWE World Champion of the 21st century and has been on an impressive run recently. After losing his title to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania XL, Roman is currently involved in a heated rivalry with Solo Sikoa and the new Bloodline. With his Tribal Chief character nearing its full circle, Roman could be a strong candidate to feature on the cover of 2K25, especially if he regains the Ula Fala by WrestleMania 41.

Moving on to our number two pick, it’s hard to ignore the electrifying presence of The Rock. The Great One made his highly-anticipated return to the WWE earlier this year and was set to face cousin Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL. However, the storyline took an unexpected turn, and The Rock turned heel, unleashing his Final Boss persona. The Rock’s heel turn was a significant moment in recent WWE history, and fans are eager to see what’s next for the Hollywood star. With his history of playing larger-than-life characters, The Rock could be an excellent choice for the cover of 2K25, potentially featuring some of his greatest matches in the showcase mode.

Finally, at the top of our list, it’s CM Punk, who made a stunning comeback to the WWE at Survivor Series WarGames 2023. The Best in the World has been involved in a series of exciting feuds, including a five-star classic against Drew McIntyre. Punk’s recent comments about wanting to main event WrestleMania 41 have fueled speculation about his role in the coming months. With Paul Heyman potentially playing a significant part, Punk could be a shoo-in for the cover of 2K25, especially if he’s involved in a major storyline at The Showcase of the Immortals.

Ultimately, only time will tell who will feature on the cover of WWE 2K25, but these three superstars have certainly made strong cases for themselves. With 2K Games’ track record of delivering high-quality games, fans can expect the next iteration to be another hit.
